My friend asked me, "Why do you want to go out of town for your birthday when so many people want to spend the day with you?" Well, if the pictures don't speak for themselves...

We hiked The Narrows on the actual day. Then, exhausted, went and enjoyed a campfire and birthday beer back at our free campsite. Not sure how else I would have liked to spend the day.

We spend the weekend exploring the park that none of us had been to before. There were some sketchy hikes, some unreal views, obviously good campfire conversation, and even a last minute overnight stop at Valley of Fire on the way home to stretch the weekend out a bit more.
